Board of Selectpersons

The five-member elected Board of Selectpersons serves as Belgrade's governing body on matters that are not statutorily required to be approved by the voters. The Board's duties include recommending a budget and most ordinances for voter consideration, approving expenditures and Town policies, appointing members to Town boards and committees, and hiring and evaluating the Town Manager, who oversees the Towns day-to-day operation on the Boards behalf.

Board members serve staggered three-year terms.

All Town board and committee meetings are open to the public.
